The buying question this page answers: For someone selling a first course, which entry plan already includes a custom domain and course certificates?
A branded web address and a certificate at the end of the course are two of the first things new course sellers ask for. The entry tiers of these three platforms treat them very differently, and one also caps how many products you can publish.

Who it fits
Teachable
- Fits a first launch that can live on a Teachable-hosted address without certificates and with at most five published products; courses, coaching and digital downloads each count, while memberships, bundles and drafts do not.[5]
Thinkific
- Fits creators who want a branded domain and completion certificates without leaving the entry tier: the Start plan comparison table marks both as included, alongside unlimited published courses.[6]
LearnWorlds
- Fits creators who want to sell on their own domain from the start and do not issue certificates: Starter includes a custom domain name and unlimited paid courses.[4]
When not to buy
Teachable
- Not suited if your brand needs its own web address on day one: custom domain is marked as not included on Starter and is listed from the Builder plan.[5]
Thinkific
- Look elsewhere if neither certificates nor a branded address matter for your first course yet; you would be choosing an entry tier mainly for features you will not use at the start.
Key differences
General
- On the entry tier, Thinkific Start includes both a custom domain and certificates, LearnWorlds Starter includes the custom domain but not certificates, and Teachable Starter includes neither.[5][6][4]
- Catalogue size splits the same way: Teachable Starter caps published products at five, while Thinkific Start lists unlimited published courses and LearnWorlds Starter lists unlimited paid courses.[5][6][4]
Limitations
Teachable
- Certificates are marked as not included on Starter; course certificates are listed on the Growth plan, whose price is not recorded in our sources.[5]
Thinkific
- Both features are confirmed only as rows in the Start plan comparison table, which does not describe certificate design options or domain setup; confirm those details before you build.[6]
